I flatly refuse to talk about Common Test 2, it's pointless anyway. French today was damn funny, because only four people came for the lesson, Aik Thong, Thong, Weiming and myself. So Weiming suggested that we watch a French film. Then we realised the VCD player had been removed. Our teacher said she'd play it from the computer. We ended up watching Le Fabuleux Destin D'Amélie Poulain, this sweet movie that I always wanted to watch! It's better than Wasabi and Yamakazi, the Luc Besson films that we saw earlier in the year. The plot's too complicated for me to delve into here, but suffice to say that it's one of those movies that tie everything up nicely and logically at the end, and there're no loopholes in the storyline. To summarise, basically Amélie discovers an old rusted box in her bathroom one day, and that causes her to devote her time to being a do-gooder. Her character's simply brilliant, and you really want to cheer her on as she plays this hide-and-seek game with Nino, the guy who beds her at the end of the show. He worked in a pornography store, which led to this damn funny scene when Amélie tried to contact him to return something to him. I strongly urge everyone to go and watch this film! It's genuinely entertaining, not like most of the cheap trash that's coming from the USA. By the way, Audrey Tautou has the most adorable smile!
